FAQ

Vénilia PVC-free self-adhesive film can be applied on all smooth non-porous surfaces including treated wood, laminated wood, laminates, metal surfaces, glass, smooth (glazed) ceramic tiles or plastic. It is best to avoid oiled wood or greasy, heavily textured or porous surfaces.

Air-release technology is a special way of applying the glue to the surface of the PVC-free film, leaving air tunnels or grooves so that air can escape more easily during the film application.

Thanks to the PVC-free formula, films in this range do not contain harmful plasticizers, phthalates or other harmful substance…n children’s bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, restaurants, barber shops or hair salons or any delicate areas without health concerns. The adhesive formula and inks used in the PVC-free range is water based and solvent free.

Vénilia PVC-free range films do not shrink after application. Thanks to the PVC-free formula without any plasticizers, films from this range stay the same size even after a few years of use.

No problem! Vénilia PVC-free self-adhesive films are repositionable without compromising on adherence. The innovative adhesive formula allows the film to be peeled off a surface without any residues (clean, smooth non-porous surface) without loosing adhesion and reapplied somewhere else.

For best results, surfaces should be as smooth as possible, however if a surface has texture it is not a problem. Vénilia PVC-free self-adhesive foils have a special punctiform adhesive structure that can adhere and shape to textured surfaces.

By using no plasticizers in the formula, Vénilia PVC-free self-adhesive films can be recycled in recycling plants that accept adhesive backed films.

We developed the Vénilia PVC-free self-adhesive backing paper with other uses in mind. By omitting to print the application instructions and significantly simplifying the design to the star pattern for ease of use while cutting, we intended the backing paper to be used for other purposes such as: pattern drafting paper, gift wrapping paper, paper for drawing or crafting. The star pattern can be used to help draw different shapes which can then be used to cut the film in smaller pieces. You can find more ideas on how to repurpose and use the backing paper and smaller scraps of film here
